Robert Schuerman LYONS Robert F. Schuerman, 92, of Lyons, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013 at his home. He was born January 22, 1921 in New Munster, to Frank T. and Katherine (nee Ehlen) Schuerman. They moved to Lyons and he attended St. Joseph's Grade School and St. Mary's High School. On November 25, 1950, in Virginia, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth "Bess" Pejchal. Following marriage they made their home in the Village of Lyons and then on the farm on Hwy. 36 where they raised their family. She preceded him in death August 1, 2002. Bob was a dairy farmer in partnership with his brother, John. He also worked as an insurance agent. He was a member of Serra Club, Knights of Columbus and a board member of Burlington Consumers Cooperative. He was an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lyons. Bob was a licensed pilot, amateur painter (espec ially landscapes), enjoyed playing sheepshead, traveling, and reading. He is survived by his children, Virginia "Ginny" (Sam) Kalaveshi of Pueblo West, CO, Bob (Jean Ann) Schuerman Jr. of Racine, The Very Rev. Jim Schuerman of Lake Geneva, Terry (Mark Leemkuil) Schuerman of Burlington and David Schuerman of Lyons. He is further survived by grandchildren, Adrian (Christine) Kalaveshi, Arben Kalaveshi, Amanda (Bennet) Moore, Agron Kalaveshi, Andrea (Jason) Lorenz, Dan (Jessica) Schuerman, William Leemkuil Schuerman, Callum Leemkuil Schuerman; great grandchildren, Andrew, Oliver, Poppy and Emmaline; siblings, Ruth (Winston) Albee, Dorothy (Norman) Swanson, John (Marlys) Schuerman; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. The family would like to thank Hospice Nurse and neighbor, Vicki Ranker, and all those who helped in the last six months of his life. Mass of Christian Burial for Robert will be Wed nesday, November 27, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Lyons, with The Very Rev. Jim Schuerman officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Schuette Daniels Funeral Home from 3:00 PM Crockett Gillmore Kids Jersey to 7:00 PM with a prayer vigil at 7:00 PM.
